Ozark Yacht Club loves being part of the Lake of the Ozarks community, especially during the summer season when there are so many great things to do. Labor Day was created over 100 years ago as a way to celebrate the American worker and their achievements. While this holiday has been celebrate on many different days and with a variety of activities, it is a holiday that is meant to unite the U.S. and allow us to celebrate how far we've come economically. So, celebrate you and your whole family of hard workers this Labor Day. You deserve it!
Because Labor Day is nationally recognized as the first Monday of September, that means a lot of us can enjoy a long weekend as part of the holiday. That make it the perfect opportunity to pack up the family and head out on a mini-vacation for a couple of days. Visit the Lake of the Ozarks for a great time on the water as we say goodbye to summer. Travel to a nearby State Park and camp with the family before the cold weather blows in. There are a lot of great options for your long weekend this Labor Day.
Picnics and barbecues feel like the perfect way to celebrate success and happiness. They are also a great way to say adieu to summer by spending time outside in the sunshine. Pack a cute picnic basket with your loved one and take a day together to get out of the house. Maybe even go on a hike and enjoy your meal at the top of one of Missouri's famous bluffs. Invite the whole neighborhood over for a barbecue and have a great time enjoy each other's company.
